Finance Department currently has 23 full-time faculty members. The teaching and scientific research work undertaken by the teachers ranges over asset pricing, financial risk management, corporate finance, financial econometrics and quantitative investment fields. and so forth.

In recent 5 years, the department has presided over and participated in more than 10 research projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Social Science Foundation of China, Humanities and Social Science Foundation of the Ministry of Education and Shanghai philosophy and Social Science Foundation. More than 40 papers have been published in important academic journals both at home and abroad, for example, domestic top journals economic research and financial research as well as top international journals such as Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Empirical Finance, Journal of Financial Econometrics，Journal of International Money and Finance，Review of Economic Dynamics, etc.
