How the Exchange Program Works

1. Students apply through the Shanghai University study abroad system.

2. Academic advisors and the School review applications.

3. Shortlisted students attend an interview.

4. Final nominations are confirmed jointly with partner universities.

5. Selected students submit application documents to the host university and prepare for departure.

   
   

Our International Office provides guidance throughout the entire process.

Academic Credits & Graduation

• Exchange courses are eligible for credit transfer.

• Study plans must be approved before departure to ensure academic progress.

• With proper planning, students can participate in exchanges without delaying graduation.

Academic advisors and the International Office work closely with students to support course selection and credit recognition.

Costs & Financial Support

• No tuition fees are charged by the host university.

• Students are responsible for living expenses, insurance, travel, and visa fees.

• Students who successfully complete the exchange program may apply for Shanghai University Overseas Exchange Scholarships (subject to annual policy).
