Adwoa Coachowusu Agyemang, a SILC student from Ghana, won 2018 China scholarship for outstanding international students. The scholarship is a grand award given to international students in China who are excellent both in character and studies. There are over 500000 international students in China. Every year, only 600 of them are awared the scholarship. Only six international students from Shanghai University win the scholarship this year.
Adwoa Coachowusu Agyemang is the class leader of international students in year three. Besides studying hard, she has been actively participating in social practice programs. “To be chosen as one of the students to receive the award for the Outstanding International Student of 2018 was a humbling moment and an unmatched feeling of gratitude. I would like to thank the China scholarship counsel as well as my school, Shanghai University for this prestigious scholarship. I would also like to thank my family and loved ones for their unending support. Thank you once again for recognizing my commitment to our school.” Adwoa Coachowusu Agyemang said after winning the scholarship.
