The 10th national representative conference of Chinese Society of Optimization, Overall Planning and Economical Mathematics and the 21stAnnual conference of Chinese Management Science were successfully held from November 16 to 17 at Shanghai University. Prof. Cheng Danhong, Secretary of Party Committee of Shanghai University, Prof. Nie Qing, Vice President of Shanghai University, and more than 1200 representatives from over 200 Universities and research institutions across China attended the conference.
Sponsored by Chinese Society of Optimization, Overall Planning and Economical Mathematics, Shanghai University, Institutes of Science and Development, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Chinese Journal of Management Sciences and organized by SILC, the conference was themed on intelligence, service, and management and targeted at hot issues in management sciences and contemporary social and economic development. The number of attendees reached a historic high.
Prof. Li Jianping, the Secretary-General of the conference from Chinese Society of Optimization, Overall Planning and Economical Mathematics, hosted the opening ceremony. Prof. Cheng Danhong delivered a welcome speech. Prof. Lyu Kangjuan, Dean of SILC, hosted the Deans and Entrepreneurs Forum. Prof. Bian Yiwen, Associate Dean of SILC hosted the dialogue session between the Journal of Chinese Management Sciences and scholars. The conference also held a number of sessions such as smart decisions and service operation.
At the closing ceremony, Prof. Chi Hong, the Chairman of Chinese Society of Optimization, Overall Planning and Economical Mathematics, mentioned that the conference received more than 300 papers and it was a rewarding experience for scholars attending various sessions. He also expressed his gratitude to Shanghai University and SILC for their contribution to the conference.
