Shanghai, August 22, 2024—The English Department at SILC Business School successfully held its Professional Development (PD) Day on August 21-22, bringing together faculty to reflect on past experiences and prepare for the upcoming academic year.
A key theme of the event was the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on English education. Simon Sheridan from Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University led insightful discussions on integrating AI into teaching practices. Additionally, Philip Godber from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) conducted a training session on English writing assessment criteria, providing valuable strategies for enhancing student evaluation.
The event also included a creative team-building activity, the "SILC Olympics," which fostered collaboration and camaraderie among faculty members.
