From June 14 to June 29, 2025, Shanghai University's SILC Business School hosted a successful Summer School program themed "Chinese Intangible Cultural Heritage and Business Innovation." The two-week program brought together 21 international students from prestigious universities such as University of Technology Sydney (UTS), King's College London, Ural Federal University, and Universidad de Monterrey, alongside local students from the school, to explore business innovation through China's rich cultural heritage.

During the program, students participated in interactive courses and collaborative innovation projects. They also had the opportunity to visit Shanghai's key commercial hubs. At the Pangu Incubator, students explored the innovation and entrepreneurship model integrating universities, communities, and industrial parks. Additionally, a visit to the Shanghai Garden Hotel showcased the successful integration of intangible cultural heritage elements into modern commercial spaces.

The curriculum was designed to give students both practical and theoretical insights into business innovation in China. Courses were taught by established SILC professors and guest expert.
Cultural experiences were also a highlight of the program, including traditional crafts like Xuhang grass weaving, flower inlay, and clay sculpture, allowing international students to immerse themselves in Chinese traditions and experience the unique charm of China's cultural heritage.

Through cross-cultural teamwork, case discussions, and project-based learning, the program fostered deep interaction between Chinese and international students. Participants gained a broader global business perspective and, through cultural exchange, sparked innovative thinking.

The program also addresses the growing need for international collaboration in innovation and entrepreneurship, particularly in China's future development. Moving forward, the SILC Business School will continue to build platforms for communication, learning, and growth for both domestic and international students, while fostering a global innovation and entrepreneurship talent pipeline.
