Vice President of The Hague University of Applied Sciences Dr. Menéndez Visited SILC

On April 8th, Dr. Menéndez, Vice President for Academic & International Affairs of The Hague University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands, Prof. Rajash Rawal, Dean of Management & Organization Faculty, and Mr. Joseph Morrin, Senior International Recruiting & International Relations Officer visited SILC. Prof. Lyv Kangjuan, Associate Dean of SILC, Dr. Xu Xiaohong, Director of International Office and Ms. Meng Ruiqiong, Manager of International Cooperation met with the guests.

 
At the beginning of the meeting, SILC extended warm welcome to the delegation from The Hague University of Applied Sciences. Both parties reviewed their cooperative student exchange programs. Since January of 2014 when both sides signed the student exchange program agreement, over 10 students from each party respectively have joined in the one-year or one-semester exchange programs by waiving of tuition fees. Students all respond in a very positive way about their learning experience.
 
Prof. Lyv Kangjuan also introduced the development strategies of SILC, and proposed that internationalization is a very important strategy among them. Afterwards, both parties reached cooperative intentions on various aspects such as faculty exchanges, short-term student exchanges, cooperative research, and 2+2 programs. Both parties expressed their wishes to keep close contact and to push forward the cooperation of all the programs.
 
Founded in 1987, the Hague University of Applied Sciences is an applied sciences university located in the city of Hague, Netherlands. It has over 1,800 faculty and staff as well as over 22,000 students (among which about 2,200 are international students) from nearly 150 countries and regions. It is one of the largest universities in the Netherlands with a wide-range major structure. Its business major is at the top level in the Netherlands.
