Delegation from Abilene Christian University Visited SILC

On April 11th, Dr. Robert Rhodes, Provost of Abilene Christian University (ACU), Mr. Daniel Garcia, Director for Multicultural & International Enrollment, Ms. Lucy Dawson, Primary Designated School Official for student immigration consultation, Mr. Berlin Fang, Director of Instructional Design, and Mr. Kevin Shen, International Admission Counselor visited SILC. Prof. Mao Yanbing, Associate Dean of SILC, Dr. Xu Xiaohong, Director of International Office and Ms. Meng Ruiqiong, Manager of International Cooperation met with the guests.

SILC first extended warm welcome to the guests from Abilene Christian University. Since 2009 when both parties signed the 2+2 cooperation agreement, there have been 3 or 4 students every year from SILC who go to ACU for Bachelor’s Degree. ACU speaks very highly of the SILC students.
Afterwards, SILC introduced its different international cooperative programs to ACU. ACU expressed their strong wishes to promote cooperation with SILC on short-term student exchange programs and faculty exchange programs. Both parties promise to keep close contact and to jointly push forward the implementation of all the programs.
Abilene Christian University, or ACU for short, is founded in 1906 and located in Abilene, Texas, USA. It is close to the world-famous city-Dallas. Currently, it has over 5,000 students from the USA and other 60 plus countries, of which more than 200 are international students. It is ranked 17th among western universities of USA according to the U.S. News & World Report. It has also been awarded as one of the top 15 Best Universities in western areas of the USA in five consecutive years. The accounting courses for graduates at ACU are ranked top 25 throughout the USA according to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
