On October 13th, Minister-Counsellor of Australian Embassy Ms.Katherine Vickers and Senior Manager of Education and Research Section Ms.Lei Xiaofeng visited SILC. Deputy Dean of SILC Professor Lv Kangjuan, Director of International Office Dr. Xu Xiaohong and Manager of International Affairs Ms. Huang li held talks with the guests.
During the talk, Professor Lv gave an introduction to the history and school-running characteristics. Ms.Katherine Vickers showed great interest in the development history of SILC and spoke highly of SILC’s achievement in international cooperation and international student recruitment. Ms.Katherine Vickers said, SILC is a cooperative Sino-Australian business school. On the basis of its high-level education, SILC has not only based on Sino-Australian educational cooperation, but also got worldwide recognition through a series of efforts, including applying for AACSB accreditation. Now, SILC has become an international business school. Being able to attract international students from Germany, the U.S., France, Spain, Thailand and many other countries and also being able to maintain a rapid growth rate is the reflection of SILC’s international capability in running school. During the talk, Ms.Katherine Vickers also said that Australian Embassy will contact with Australian universities and attract more Australian students to study at SILC through the New Colombo Plan of Australian government. In the future, the Embassy of Australia will pay regular visits to SILC in the hope of witnessing SILC’s greater contributions in Sino-Australian and international cooperations in education.
