Delegations from American Abilene Christian University Visited SILC
On April 23, Tamara Long, Vice President of Abilene Christian University and another colleague in the United States came to visit SILC. Isa Meng and Emma Liu, Managers of International Affairs in the International Office of SILC, and Ke Jia, Manager of Marketing Office, warmly welcomed the guests.
The two sides introduced their university respectively and negotiated cooperation on the summer program, exchange program and master program. Ke Jia introduced the cooperation of the 2+2 project between the two parties in the past few years.
Abilene Christian University was founded in 1906 in Abilene, Texas. Abilene, near the world-famous city - Dallas, is a city known for its friendliness and beauty. With a population of 150,000, it enjoys a year-round mild climate and leisurely pace. It is the safest city in Texas. Abilene Christian University, with a distinguished reputation, is one of the largest private universities in the southwestern United States.
Delegate from Alberta University, Canada Visited SILC
On April 16th, Mr. Andrei Tabirca, from Faculty of Arts, University of Alberta, Canada, visited SILC. SILC Associate Deans Hu Xiaohan and Fang Hui, Lecturer Wu Maoguo of the Department of Economics and Finance, Managers of International affairs Isa Meng and Emma Liu warmly welcomed the guest.
It was the second time for Mr. Andrei Tabirca to visit SILC. Based on the previous talks, both sides discussed the cooperation on 2+2 double degree programs, 3+1+1 master degree programs, and summer programs, etc.
The University of Alberta is one of the best research universities in Canada. According to the 2018 QS ranking, it is ranked 4th in Canada and 90th in the world. Its Faculty of Arts offers a degree in Economics, which is highly compatible with the SILC Department of Economics and Finance. The prospects for future cooperation are broad.
Delegate from Swansea University Visited SILC
On April 18th, Jessica D, Dead of Marketing of the School of Management, Swansea University, UK, visited SILC. Emma Liu, Manager of International Affairs of International Office, warmly welcomed the guest.
The two sides introduced each others’ schools from the perspectives of enrollment, majors, and teaching environment etc., and proposed cooperation in summer school, master's programs, and other aspects.
Swansea University is an old, traditional British public university. It was established in 1920 in Swansea, Wales. Swansea University has a long history, with high-quality teaching and world-class scientific research. It has been rated by The Times and Financial Times as the top 50 universities in the UK for five consecutive years. There are more than 150 faculty members and more than 2,000 students in its Management School.
Delegation from Pittsburgh State University Visited SILC
On April 19th, Howard W. Smith, Associate Vice President of Pittsburgh State University, Pawan K. Kahol, Dean of Graduate School, and Yang Shuhan, the China Program Officer, visited SILC. Fang Hui, Associate Dean of SILC, and Emma Liu, Manager of International Affairs of International Office, warmly welcomed the guests.
The two sides introduced their colleges respectively from the enrollment, majors, and teaching environment, and negotiated cooperation on the 3+1+1 program and double-degree master program.
Pittsburgh State University (PSU) was founded in 1903, located in Pittsburgh, Kansas, Central USA. Its business school has been accredited from AACSB. Our college has cooperated with the university on the 2+2 project.
