In August 2019, three faculty won research projects funded by the National Nature Science Foundation of China. This is their second time winning the national projects. This fully reflects their continuous passion for academic research and their ability to produce more and higher level research outcomes.

Another four faculty members have won the projects funded by Philosophy and Social Science Foundation of Shanghai, and it is the biggest number that SILC has won this projects in one year. Among them, Hailiang Zou has also won the National Nature Science Foundation. Weiwei Huo has won the National Nature Science Foundation and the project of Ministry of Education before. Yamin Xie and Yunxiao Liu are new faculty member who joined SILC in the past two years.
