SILC International Students Win National Grand Prize at 2025 Intercultural Competence Competition

On December 13–14, a team of international students from SILC Business School, Shanghai University won the National Grand Prize (First Place) in the International Student Category at the 8th National Intercultural Competence Competition.


The winning team- Jibin Misheel (Mongolia), Tursyn Suraayat (Kazakhstan), and Yoshikawa Sachi (Japan), represented Shanghai after advancing from the Shanghai regional round, where they had previously secured First Prize. The team was coached by Ms. LUO Wei and Ms. KUANG Qun.



During the national finals, the students stood out by integrating artificial intelligence with themes of multicultural understanding, presenting a compelling China-focused story that demonstrated strong analytical skills, intercultural awareness, and teamwork. Each member contributed distinct strengths, resulting in a well-coordinated and impactful performance.



This achievement reflects SILC’s long-term commitment to internationalized talent development and its “learning through competition” approach. By combining academic training with project-based and competition-driven learning, SILC Business School continues to enhance international students’ global competence and ability to communicate Chinese stories to the world.



The national championship marks a significant milestone for SILC in intercultural education, international student development, and global engagement, further strengthening its reputation in international business education.
