On May 11, SILC Business School co-hosted the 2025 Future Partners Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition at Shanghai University.

The event was jointly organized with the Baoshan District Talent Bureau and guided by key municipal talent, youth organizations and SILC Business School.

Distinguished guests from government, academia, and industry joined the launch ceremony, marking the official start of the event. Over 230 projects from top universities worldwide—including the University of Sydney, UNSW, Nanyang Technological University, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University—were submitted, with 80 teams from 15+ countries— such as Australia, Russia, South Korea, Singapore, Egypt, and Brazil, advancing to the pitch round.

Participants presented their innovations in a “6-minute pitch + 4-minute Q&A” format, covering areas like digital tech, sustainability, and advanced manufacturing. Top-performing teams will advance to the next stage, with SILC offering further project support and mentorship.

SILC Chair Prof. Lyu Kangjuan highlighted the school’s focus on global entrepreneurship education, while judges praised the creativity and potential of the projects. The event also introduced international talent to Shanghai’s vibrant innovation ecosystem.

With this, SILC will continue to leverage its international partnerships and academic strengths to cultivate future-ready business leaders and support impactful innovation on a global scale.
