From June 6–9, four student teams from SILC Business School represented Shanghai University at the 2025 National Business Elite International Trade Competition Finals held in Ningbo. Competing against 408 teams from 198 universities across China, SILC teams delivered exceptional performances.
Three teams composed of Chinese students won one Grand Prize and two First Prizes , while an international team comprised of students from Vietnam, Malaysia, Colombia, Morocco, Peru, and Indonesia earned a Second Prize.

The competition, hosted during the 2025 China (Ningbo) Cross-border Trade Fair and Brand Expo, simulated real-world international trade activities. Student teams acted as SMEs, presenting business proposals, product showcases, trade negotiations, and marketing strategies. They were judged on professional knowledge, teamwork, creativity, and bilingual communication skills.
Guided by SILC faculty Dr. Jia Lijun, Dr. Zhou Xi , and Ms. Gu Haiyue , students undergo months of rigorous training and preparation. In particular, teams impressed judges with their strong English communication, innovative product pitches, and simulated negotiation capabilities.
