SILC Business School Students Awarded Top Prizes at the 8th SFLEP Cup National Intercultural Competence Contest

Students from SILC Business School achieved outstanding results in the National round of the 8th SFLEP Cup National Intercultural Competence Contest, with the international student team winning first prize and the Chinese student team earning second prize.



The SFLEP Cup National Intercultural Competence Contest aims to enhance participants' cultural confidence, global perspective, and intercultural communication skills.


Following rigorous online and on-campus preliminary rounds, six students, namely three Chinese (Huang Fanchen, Ni Ziyan, Cui Ziyou) and three international (JibinI Misheel, Tursyn Suraayat, Yoshikawa Sachi) were selected to represent SILC. The team members came from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds, including China, Japan, Mongolia, and Kazakhstan.




They were supported by a dedicated group of Chinese and international faculty advisors from the English Department, including Professor Kuang Qun, Luo Wei, and Tuscany who provided extensive guidance in areas such as script writing, intercultural theory, and presentation skills. Not to mention, the support was also given from foreign department lecturer, Paul Mills, during script writing and also during the competing day itself.




During the competition, both the Chinese student team as well as the international student team strongly impressed the judges. The Chinese student team demonstrated strong cultural analysis and compelling storytelling about China, while the international student team showcased insightful integration of artificial intelligence with traditional Chinese culture, earning top prize and advancing to national competition.




Through this, SILC business school extends extend utmost congratulations to all participants and wishes the international student team success in the upcoming national finals!
