UTS Acting Pro Vice-Chancellor Innes Ireland Visits SILC Business School

On November 13, 2025, SILC Business School welcomed Innes Ireland, Acting Pro Vice-Chancellor (Global Partnerships) of the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), accompanied by Wanling Qu, PRC In-Country Director of the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). This marked the Acting Pro Vice-Chancellor, Ireland’s first official visit to SILC. SILC Party Secretary Prof. Lyu, Kangjuan, Dean Prof. Bian, Yiwen, and other school leaders met with the UTS delegation.




Ireland congratulated SILC on successfully completing AACSB reaccreditation and achieving Eduniversal 4-Star Business School status in 2025. He also shared updates on UTS’s international recruitment strategies, institutional development plans, and evolving teaching model. Both sides held meaningful discussions on expanding collaboration, deepening academic partnerships, and exploring new opportunities for Sino-Australian cooperation in transnational education.



Before the meeting, SILC international students, Parsinee Thongpan and Jessica Oline Effendy guided the UTS delegation on a tour of SILC’s teaching facilities and history gallery, providing a better look onto the school facilities itself.


At the end of the visit, Ireland praised SILC’s warm hospitality, strong academic foundation, and impressive progress. He also commended the professionalism and positive spirit displayed by SILC faculty and students.


Both parties expressed confidence that this visit will further strengthen the partnership between UTS and SILC and open new chapters in Sino-Australian transnational education collaboration.
